Default no start

i'm working on a 2002 discovery 2 land rover .it was suppose to be a simple engine swap. ha ha when he brought the engine that was suppose to be rebuilt it had the wrong style heads on it so i changed the heads .while they were off i saw that the cylinders were rusty so pulled it apart and re ringed it .found out that it had bad rod and main bearings so i changed them .got the engine all together and set in and hooked up. engine will not start.put it on a mt2500 scanner generic ob2 and got a pending code for fuel pump relay no signal.there is no spark either. i posted some of this on this forum and got a response to replace the crank sensor.bought a new sensor and still no spark or fuel pump.i have checked all the fuses and all the connectors.but no luck.it seems to me like the anti theft system is on and blocking the emc from sending spark and fuel signel.dose any one have any other ideas that i could try thank you for your help rbaaddison braham minnesota

Have you reset the inertia switch on the fire wall?

Try resetting the alarm by locking and unlocking the drivers door 3 times in a row.

Thanks for posting this advice Spike. We couldn't get "her" started because of the anti-theft this morning, came and read this and bingo!
