Hi I have been back over your post from the start, can you tell me have you still got you plugs in I can see its V8, but with no cams fitted the top of the cylinder are now sealed tight so and rotating the crank moves the piston up will pressurize the cylinder, also you have removed the carbs, and lets hope you have not dropped an nut in on top of a piston, an take the plugs out if you have not already done so, hire an endoscope an look in to make sure theirs nothing stopping the piston coming up

Been busy with work. Ill try to get a video posted later today. So yes, plugs are out, cam rotates fine. The heads are still on. No chance of having dropped anything down the intake. Everything is accounted for. Im starting to think that the flywheel is seized, Its just where Im at with my thinking at this point. Unfortunately I cannot rotate the crank to disconnect the remaining 3 piston end caps. I ordered a bore scope, will be here tomorrow, I'd rather not pull the heads if I don't have to.

Main caps off? Valve covers off? Did you take the torque converter bolts out? How much rotation do you get? Is it stopping as a certain piston approaches TDC?

Used the endoscope, cylinders looked fine. I put some Marvel Mystery oil in each cylinder, came back a few hours later and the crank now turns. So now I'm just waiting on parts to arrive and fingers crossed I should be back in business very shortly.

Do you think a piston was actually seized in a cylinder?

So after I inspected the cylinder walls and it all looked fine I was talking to an old wrench turner and he was like " did you try Marvel in the cylinders?" At that point I was like what the hay, might as well and sonofabeech the dang crank turned like nothing was ever wrong. I think the rover just wanted me to change her rod and main bearings out, lol. Could've just poured that in the very beginning but nooo, lol ... Im waiting on the bearings from AB and Ill be reassembling the top end this weekend.
