Default No start and alarm bugging out

The battery seems fine when checking the voltage and after charging but will not start the car. If i put a connection from the neg to pos terminals (either the voltmeter or the unplugged battery charger) then the car will start and work normally. The issue started randomly after eating dinner, a jump started it right away.
When the car sits i cant unlock or lock the doors, the alarm starts going off when i let the car sit, its not the normal alarm either. The horn is honking irregularly and the noise level dies down after a few seconds.
The battery is about 2 years old and i have an aftermarket viper alarm system. I didnt see any posts that seemed to be this issue, any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated!

Could it simply be corroded terminals that are making a connection when disturbed with the meter, charger, etc?

Update: fixed issue, i was using an old battery from my 4runner since i just got this rover without the battery. The cca were way too low, i got a new battery and it cleared up my check engine light and all is well now.
