Default No Start Issue

1999 Discovery I

At this point, i do not know if its related to my new car alarm/remote start of the disco its self. Alarm and remote start was installed last saturday.

Did this last night as well, and i dont know why but after 10 minutes of pretty much doing nothing but looking in the engine compartment if finally turned over. Both times, it made one single turn then quit and now i don't get anything but the power click when i try to start.

full battery power, starter clicks when key is moved to start pos but does not attempt to turn over at all. checked started fuse. Tried disconnecting neg on batter term, then reconnected, left key in turn pos for 20 minutes then tried again. recharged the battery. flipped remote start kill switch.

Never had this problem till the remote start install, i did have an issue when it would keep turning over but not start, till i would remove key and go again and it would go fine.

anything could be of help if you have suggestions, thanks

Its the remote starter.
Who installed it? Pros or you?
Any factory alarm equipt car has a high potential for starting issues if a remote starter is installed incorrectly.

We only have 2 weeks until our trip so you better have her running.

Not sure why you added an aftermarket alarm and remote, but very few shop do it correctly and cause more problems then they are worth.

Is there a way to bypass anything so i can get it started once to take it up there. My buddy was telling me to jump the starting cylinder or something alike.

had someone come over and look at it, he discovered that the wires that are running into the starter are loose, he pushed them up into it and it started, wiggled it a bit and it wouldn't start again, he zip tied in to the wire next to it to prevent it from wiggling, i will post a picture of what i'm talking about tomorrow when its light out. but does anyone know what i'm talking about right now?
