You may also have a ground corrosion issue on negative cable that leaves battery, the M&S lights indicate tranny computer was seeing 9 volts. Easy to follow cable and clean up any spots where it bonds to chassis.

In case you don't know - the safari light relay is a black box mounted to the back of the fuse/relay box under the hood. There's a plug with seveeal wires running into it. It's easy to disconnect, and pretty easy to bypass as well.

oh yeah.
terminal may have too little clamping force on tne +
time will tell
