no starting, but engine cranks
now we may be getting some where, depending upon the way your truck was programmed. the emergency flasher could be a sign of a tripper inertia switch.
Most people say it isn't so, but i have two disco's one will trip the emergency flasher the other wont.
I would suggest you put the fuse back in and try jumping the inertia switch, iirc it only has two connectors

Okay, so jumped out the inertia switch, and put the fuse back in for the hazard lights. Hazard lights now work as they should, and turning the key still produces the same results, just turns and turns and turns but won't start. I will say whatever happened, fixed my hazards. I plugged the inertia switch back in and now the hazards are back to normal.
Can also add that I just tried to enter the EKA code. That isn't going to happen either. Put the key in the door and it just turns freely, without locking or unlocking the door.

okay, now so tried the eka code as found here https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...d-works-45005/ it shows two different methods. tried each with no good results. i didn't even get a beep when doing the absolute first step. also, after completion, the light never continued to flash and then turn off after 5 minutes..so not sure which way is actually the correct way.
I've had some crappy spark plugs over the years with other vehicles, but took a few out the other night and were covered in crud, guessing oil, and guessing it came from head gasket issues? cleaned the plugs and still got spark just fine. any other ideas? I would hate to sell as is, as I could use the money, but it's getting to that point, and if that happens, will most likely have to sell my personal one which I don't want to do either. Thanks.

I am a serial engine swapper because I am a crap mechanic and two days ago when I swapped my oldest engine back in I had the same issue: flashers on and I heard a switch tripping in the console. It was acting like I'd had a wreck so I hit inertial switch and got no result (it wasn't tripped). . I then pulled the battery cable off of the negative terminal (being sure to keep the key in position 2), waited a minute and reconnected the battery then... Disco.
There's a relay in the inside fuse box. Kills the engine if its pulled. Check that. There's a similar one in the engine bay. You can steal one from your ABS or AC or something to try it.
If that doesn't work, try switching the engine bay fuse box from your running truck. Pretty simple, just a few plugs on the bottom.

Fuel pump is turning on. I will check the other items as suggested. I am pretty sure that relay that kills the engine is plugged in. I will double check and also swap out just to test. I have also swapped engine bay fuse box with one from a running vehicle (have a parts disco that was given to me and ran just fine except head gaskets). Thanks for the help so far.
