Noise on hard acceleration
Hi folks.
I've recently taken an 03 D2 out of storage - it's sat for around 2 years while I'm dealing with other projects. Back when I built it, I only refreshed what really needed it. Fluids, tie rods, head gaskets, cooling system. Then I ran into an electrical problem that caused the seat not to move. Yep, that's all it took it to sit.
Anyway, COVID. More time..less real work. Fixed that with a new switch.
I took it to get the alignment done, and was doing some light Italian tune-ups (e volavo, volavo felice
) gioco di parole....
And well, it sounds like the front end is grinding itself apart. Is this going to be a wheel bearing, or diff issue? Sounds different from the previous wheel bearings I've run across.
Cheers!

I don't think so, IIRC the front driveshaft is new from LK8.
I've pretty much summed it up to a wheel bearing. Has an ever so little amount of play that I had to concentrate on to notice.
Have new hubs coming in..
