Default Non genuine injector seals

His guys, I recently had a problem with my td5 where it had starting issues and cutting out.

I replaced the injector seals and problem was cured for a good 400 miles.

The car has now developed a terrible misfire, sounds like it's running on 4 and the AA man said injector no 2 readings weren't like the other 4.

Now I did use 10 quid ebay injector seals rather than genuine.

Is it worth trying again but using genuine seals? Can bad seals cause a misfire?

If someone checked out what the injectors are doing and found one that isn't behaving properly. That sounds more like a problem with the injector, wiring or FICM. I don't think the injector itself would act differently because of a bad seal. I'm in the USA so I don't have any experience with the td5. I do work on other diesels occasionally and it's not uncommon to see problems with injectors or FICM's. I think that's what I would look into first.

I'm not an expert on the TD5, but I have heard a few things about it. I know that the injector wiring loom goes bad. How many miles are on your truck? Does it have the original injector loom? It's not a bad idea to change it out if it is the original.

Loom was changed before the seals
