Default Is this normal for the Exhust?

I have noticed that my exhust pipe has much more black buildup than any other car I have seen. I do not have a resonator, but it was similar before I cut it off. I have a pic of my pipe (see below). Is it normal to have that much black? My MPG is fine and I am pretty sure its not running rich... Any input on this??

Yes that is normal for Rovers they run rich thats why so many people do atf flushs on their motors or have build up in the motor if not changing the oil when needed.

Yeah, thats what I figured because I keep up with everything so I knew it was due to lack of up-keep. Thanks for the reply.

Throw a can of 44 K in the fuel and go for a drive, you will blow most of it out although the pipe will remain stained.

I'll be buying that tomorrow, I am going on a parkway drive this weekend so that will be the perfect chance to put it in. As always, thanks Mike.
