If I remember right, without looking at the tach, I'm pretty sure each hash mark is 250 rpms...3 lines between each 1000 at 250 a piece.

Just went out and looked, your right. I have been reading this wrong the whole time. That means mine has been idleing 700-750. not 400-500. Well at least I have a clean IACV and throttlebody. Problem solved.

I checked while getting pizza tonight. Between 0 and 1, there are two marks, and mine idles between the two marks. Between all other numbers there are three marks.

I got curious so I went down and checked...my 04 has only 2 hash marks between 0 and 1000 rpms as well...1 shorter and one longer hash mark. Going off of the rest of the hash marks on the tach, the shorter hash marks correspond to the 250 and 750 increments on the dial while the longer hash marks correspond to every 500 rpm increment (500, 1500, 2500, etc)...I idle within a hair of 750.

Spot on where mine idles. I guess I should of payed a bit more attention before assuming my idle was low. I was reading this at 400rpm

Well clean engine parts are a good thing. mine sits on the mark just below the 1 and that's 750 RPM.
