Default Nothing from HVAC

99 Disco II
56k miles

Hey gang, I have a question for you guys (glances at discomike). Last night was one of the coldest nights we've had here in KY, with a high today of 32F. So I jumped in my disco to run some errands and when I turned on heat, nothing came out. No heat, no a/c, nothing. Zero air flow. I mashed all buttons on the console, nothing. I turned the hvac completely off and noticed an odd sound. The sound came from under the passenger side glove box. It sounded kinda like the disc changer sounds when it's changing discs. A little louder and it lasted longer, if that makes sense.

I noticed my coolant was a little low so I'm filling it up after I post this. But I fear it's my blower. Your thoughts?

it's easy to drop down the kick panel on passenger side (three push tree clips and one in the back)
three screews later and the blower comes down for inspection.
i have seen a lot of things in the blower motor to make it stop (ice, rat, leaves ect)
you can even still have the blower motor still plug in for diagnosis
only two wires going to the fan so with a test light you can check.

Refilled coolant, and of course it didn't solve this problem. I will give your suggestion a shot Raid. I'm not very savvy when it comes diagnosing. When you say "only two wires going to the fan so with a test light you can check" what exactly do I need to so this? "Test light" I don't have anything like that laying around. I'm sorry, but I'm slightly ill-prepared. If I don't have a test light, what can I use/do?

Also before I open up the kick panel, what should I be looking for? I understand it's a blower, but is there a intake and output vent on the blower that I should be looking to clean out? Thanks

you can test if power is going to the blower motor with out
taking it down. but you need a test light of some kind.
the fan is right above the hole on the cardboard kick panel passenger side.
