Where I had it connected, the two larger bolts, does not work. I discovered that is the starter incase anyone is curious. Any suggestions on where to tap into? Could I just run the red wire to one of the fuses? I am sure that is a bad idea for some reason. Or, just remove the terminals and go to the battery directly? There is a relay, attached to the firewall. In this location, I can stash all the wiring in the jack storage space.
I have successfully tapped in on the starter wires as well as straight from the battery, depends on if you want the accessories to be usable when the key is in the on position or not.
Great, that is easier anyway.
Someone here installed the switch in the same place as below. Looks pretty good, just hogged out the hole to match the switch, when I get an OEM switch I can just put the face plate back on.
Now, I just need to wait until Monday for the other parts to arrive from Luycky8, should be Monday, if I get lucky, maybe tomorrow.
I found these two wiring harnesses under the dash, does anyone know what they are for?
I usually run direct to the battery it is just cleaner.
Agreed. I'm waiting on a dual battery tray and will be redoing all of my accessories straight from the second battery. This has been in the works for a while and knew anything I added was going to be redone so the starter was used for the switchpro knock off as it didn't require any rewiring to fit the stud on my battery terminal that my winch is hooked to.
My forward facing driving lights, currently hella 500s are running off a foot swtich,
fabbed a bracket from 1/4 inch abs its attached to the foot rest
