Default What happens with the extra small hose to factory tsta?

Once you take the hose going down and splice it direct to the return hose to the radiator what happens to the small hose that connected to the small connection at the Y on the factory tstat (hose from the fill tank I believe)?

The bypass hose from the factory tee to the thermostat is eliminated.

Hi Extinct,

I was doing some thermostat reading and bumped into this. I would guess in most cases they all work the same, but according to the reviews some had decent results in dropping temps. I have your set up, think this would fit?

Wow, that is expensive for just the element.

Wow, that is expensive for a thermostat element. Yeah, probably will work, doubt it would work "better" than the high flow element I use.

Its well worth it. I've been taking guys out there since 2015. But the trips have been dual sport motorcycle focused (trailer out). This will be a first for me on 4 wheels. We already had the LR D2 for putzing around here in the blue ridge mountains. But minus a few simple mods its stock. I did rebuild the engine when we bought it.

correction... I missed your comment about living out west. So you know already

Has anyone had the code for operating temp too low? I am wondering if I need to put in a higher temp element for the winter? I have not done it in the past few years with the in line thermostat, but noticed today I had a code for low operating temp. It does not really get that cold here, but I imagine it would help get more heat in the cabin.
