Default Oil Cooler plug

Hello all time for dumb question.

I want to remove the plug for the oil cooler that is not on my 04 and add an adapter for a oil pressure gauge.

My question is if I remove that bolt is a ton of oil heading my way. Given it faces down I suspect the correct answer is yes, but I have been wrong before.

Any feed back, Laughter both ?

Not a dumb question. If memory serves, it won't pour out if you don't already have an oil cooler and the truck has been off awhile, even from the bottom plug. But there will be enough that you will want to catch it. Whatever is in the oil pump and above will drop out. But the bulk of the oil will stay in the pan.

I've always had an oil cooler and made a MESS.
