It seems to be acting normal now. not sure if I should drive it for work tomorrow, but i would htink if it is the pump then it would still be on.

Well, the gauge test will tell. The larger problem with the pumps is low output, not zero output. You can also have low system pressure because the crank shaft bearings are worn, and they can be replaced without taking engine all the way out of the truck. You would also think there would be plenty of valve train noise with low pressure. But I can't hear it in mine with exhaust leaks and Rare Earth turned up.
Thanks for all of your help. I'm going to take it to work tomorrow and hope that everything is ok. If I can get these stupid O2 codes to clear then I may trade it in.

Replacing the Crank bearings while still in the truck would be a very difficult/next to impossible job unless you were superman I believe. The crank weights more then the block itself and getting it out and in would require at least three people on the job. Originally Posted by Savannah Buzz

may not be pretty, may not get them all, and shade trees may grow in Kiwi-land (New Zealand) - and there have been other posts of in-situ bearing work. You work with what you've got. BTW, he also posts on how to rebuild your own alternator, and how to crossbreed a Ford cruise control to run the Rover..... of course if oil PSI test is good, then keep rolling.
