Default Oil Pan Gasket?

Looking ahead for my next project I ordered a new oil pan gasket. I have been losing some oil and after having the heads done I want to try and keep the fluids in the truck. (I know, a novel thought for a Rover). Looking at the Rave manual--I will need to remove the frame cross-member to drop the pan.
After I drop the frame piece it says to, "Disconnect and release gearbox oil cooler pipe and discard 'O' ring."
Do I need to buy an O ring for this project too? I would like to do this in one weekend and not be waiting for some little O ring before I can drive again.
My list should include,
Gasket, Mineral spirits and scotch brite pad, scraper, oil, oil filter.
Anything else? (Besides beer?)
Re-use the O ring or what?

Tough, when you have the only answer for you question. If you are going to change the pan gasket to stop leaks, then replace the oring too.
