Default Oil Pressure

Does anyone know where to attach an oil pressure gauge, if I am not using the oil filter attachment?
I am thinking of the Harbor Freight kit, $25, it comes with a number of threaded fittings and looks simple to use. Where would it plug in?

thanks,

Do you have an oil cooler on your rig? If not there is a port you can use near the oil filter.

The early D2's came with them. The later models usually didn't. What year model do you have?

If you don't have the oil cooler, then I think the easiest way is to do like I did and drill the plug where it would have connected to the oil pump cover, then thread the hole for 1/4" NPT. I had a picture of that somewhere, but I can't find it right now.

I'm running the Sandwhich adapter w/ an M1-301 extra large capacity filter without any fitment issues. It's way easier than drilling, taping, etc...

The problem with sandwich adapters is they give you pressure before the filter, which is different from the pressure flowing into the engine.

Still better than nothing, I guess.

I used the port above the factory oil pressure switch, and also added the oil cooler & lines from an earlier D2.
