Default Oil Pressure Gauge Wiring

I am going to install the Glowshift gauge this weekend and have not been able to find explicit instructions for the wiring.

The Ground from the sender goes to any ground, battery, etc.

The Hot wire, goes to a "add a circuit" that is plugged into which fuse?

Then I need a wire from the fuse box, from where to the Gauge?

Then ground the Gauge somewhere convenient.

I have searched for a while, just hoping for more explicit help.

you just want an ignition/on circuit....
you could use an add a fuse

Your wiring needs greatly depend on the model of gauge you bought. For instance, my gauges ( https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...e-gauge-70216/ ) required a constant power sources for memory functions, as well as switched power, and finally a tap into headlamp circuit that would trigger varying illumination levels. I used the "add a circuit" that Dusty recommends, and used a common ground near the fuse box.

Since I didn't splice anything I can unplug my entire setup and drop it into any vehicle with minimal fuss.

That is what what I was planning on, the add a fuse, from the other write up I have been following. The question does it matter which fuse outlet I plus into? Or, I suppose I could simply try until I find one that is hot only when the the engine is running.

Again, the answer depends on the needs of the gauge you have. Does it require hot at all times for certain features? Does it require a headlamp signal?

You want a switch 12v source in the fuse box. I use the same gauge as you...if you get stuck, let me know and I can give you the exact fuse you can tap into in the box.
