If you put a manual gauge on it and your getting 8 psi or more @ operating temp, go for it with that cover. you might save yourself $500. If not, it isn't a big deal to change it out. I only had 6 psi and didn't feel that was sufficient pressure.


The Rave manual says the "open" pressure for the oil pressure switch is 3.0-8.8 lbf.in sq.
