OK, dumb question...how do I get at the fill plug for the transfer case???

Laying on your back hold on to something and put steady pressure with your foot. That is what I did. It WILL break loose.

Be careful though.

Many a person has stripped the fill plug trying to get it loose.
You might need to put some heat to it. Not to much, just enough.

Fuego - it was no fun getting that plug out, but basically what Jupiter posted is how I got mine out. Except for the "be careful" part because I think I bruised the side of one foot when the thing let loose... My regular socket wrenches weren't doing the trick, but when I figured out what combination of extensions allowed me to use my 14" breaker bar...well, the extra leverage sure helped.

I'm with you...always make sure you can get the fill plug out before you drain!
