I looked under my car the other day and noticed this, my four-month-old OME shock covered in oil! I called Rovers North and they shipped out a replacement, no questions asked. I'm replacing the springs with 3" RoverTym springs so it's not much extra work, but still a bummer. I'm not sure if I'd buy another set of OME shocks. I'd probably go with Bilsteins.
We’re you running the original springs when you installed new shocks? No idea how many miles you have but new shocks on worn springs can do that. I did that to a set of Bilsteins.
BTW Bilsteins are not a better shock for these vehicles. Just more expensive. Unless you go the remote reservoir route... I can’t speak to those. I found they are stiff and don’t last long.
ive had Bilsteins, OME nitro chargers, and Terrafirma. FWIW I prefer the latter which oddly is the least expensive choice. Wasn’t expecting that.
You can have Bilstein 7100s custom valved at no added cost essentially. $200/corner for remote resi is a pretty solid option imo. I have TF and fox shocks on my 2 right now and the adjustable TF are softer than the fox's however the vehicle with the fox has no bumpers or armor and is almost never loaded down which is a big factor there.

No, the whole kit was installed at the same time.
Also, I'm referring to the longer travel Bilsteins.
@jacobmstein Could be you just got a faulty unit it does happen, I have run and am currently OME and have never had a failure like that. I know this is unlikely but are you using the wrongs shocks, too light for your load

The only added weight on the front currently is a bull bar. I have MD OME springs in the front which are rated correctly according to Rovers North. As for the shock, I believe it is the HD variant, at least that is how it was described when I bought it.
edit: after looking into it, I think the Nitrocharger Sport Shock sold with all kits is meant to be HD.
