Sided springs was more a thing with RHD vehicles. I know for sure that John @ Expedition Exchange supplies his OME springs in driver side for both, i.e. 420mm for both springs. I'm not sure about anywhere else.

while specs may be similar, specs don't account for manufacturing quality. Poor manufacturing quality leads to premature sagging

Do you have any extra weight on it, bumpers, skid plates, etc?
I wonder why the passenger springs are shorter?
Springs different lengths to keep the truck level.

Mine are still in the garage, West Coast 1st week with out rain since December.

Hoping to get them in in Mid May.

Jeff Blake, that is my concern the Terrafirma's are poorer quality but free is free. I am hoping the OME shock and Terrafirma springs will give a couple of years.

I get that different length springs can keep it level.
I was wondering why they were different to start with.
Steering doesn't weigh that much, and the front differential is on the opposite side anyway, so the weight should be distributed evenly enough as is.

The differential isnunspring weight anyway.

Steering weighs enough to compress the suspension though, just a bit, once you include the box, fluid, ABS module, brake master, pedal assembly, and they may even include the driver. I don't really know.

True,
It's early, I didn't stop to think about the differential being under the springs, duh.
I still don't think there's enough weight bias to one side or the other to cause a 10mm shorter spring.
I will go with Jeff Blake's reccomendation and use the company that sells 4 the same height.

Hi - Sorry to bring this thread from the dead...

I was just wondering what worked for you guys after all this years...

I was dead set to buying the TF HD until I saw this thread.

I have a stock D2 with KO2's, I was going to leave it the way it was until I went on a trail and I started hitting my fenders during off cambers
Note that we are not off roaders, we just like to travel to places and see places and not so much off roading. We are more of a freeway people...

Stock D2 with KO2's and rims.
RTT (170lbs)
ARB Front Bumper
Rear Metal Bumper
Adding winch, skid plates, side rails etc in a month.
I usually have tons of gear on the back such us tools etc, camping gears and recovery gears.
My 2 kids and my wife.

THANKS

Yea you want to put at least medium duty springs in there, it will help a lot Terrafirma or OME, replace your shocks and check our front shock towers at the same time HD are likely overkill. The height difference is only a 2 inches, but it makes lot of difference to your clearance and tire movement.

Def replacing my shocks as well along with the towers.

I was just wondering what worked for everyone with this much load - def don't want to start breaking my kids backs while riding when TF HD is super stiff.

There's no really no budget, I just need something that works well. Do it once, do it right.

Thanks

spring info

Light to heavy duty, the weight is above the the stock maxload. BUT only count gear not passengers, my suggestion is load it up go the wiegh scale and see where you are. The base the springs on that.

Just got an OME lift kit from L8. Have SLS so got 2" spacers for the rear, went with MD for the front springs. Funny thing is - they shipped me MD shocks for the front, but HD for the rear (that's what's listed on L8's site for OME 2" lift shocks for the D2).

Weird, or normal?
