Here's what I gathered so far which is twice the $$ for the TF HD 2" LIFT KIT.
$686 Fox IFP Shocks
$379 OME 1.5" MED Front and HD Rear Springs
$150 for Front and Rear Spacers
This is all comes out to $1200 versus the $600 for the TF HD KIT...

I feel like base on my research I'm gonna end up having to redo my suspension in a year or two if I go the cheaper way...

UGH! The headache

Just spoke to Atlantic and I told them I wanted a 2 in lift with the medium TF kit. The reply is that the kit will only give me a 1-1.5 in lift. The recommendation was to go to TF HD for a true 2 in lift and especially if you have a arb bumper and or winch with it. Hope this helps. I went with the HD. It’s not a daily driver so I’m not overly concerned on the ride.

Technically they may be correct in that a new 2" lift would be 1-1.5" above a brand new stock suspension. It will however probably be 2" or more over a sagged and worn original suspension with 100k miles on it.

Wouldn't HD springs be better?
The OP said he plans on bumpers, rock rails, skid plates, and has the wife and 2 kids plus any cargo.

I am 100% leaning towards HD but I also dont want it to be so rough that we hate riding in the truck.

I've driven race cars all my life and I can adjust but my wife and kids loves to be traveling in a HOTEL grrrrr.

I think it may not sound too bad - i just wish I had someone nearby I can ride in it

I have a feeling that I will be spending the $$$ and readjusting everything in a year or two, its just the way life works. LOL

call the guys at Atlantic British. They say the ride isn’t affected so I’m taking their word for it.

Personally for that set up I would have done whatever necessary to avoid running the spring spacers and purchased true 3" lift springs. I run the spacers now as a stop gap until I order new springs (my current ones are worn/beat to hell). The stock length shocks operate nicely with a 2" lift so adding longer shocks as these shorter springs wear could cause some issues down the road, namely limiting up travel.

I've thought of that, however OME HD springs are only about 1.5" lift and with my current weight, I believed it'll go down to 1" and adding the spacers would put me back to a true 2" lift...

That is just my guess - lol

you are probably right in that line of thinking. I'm just against spring spacers if they can be avoided as it's adding another point of failure.
