Default One weird trick to fix the three amigos

Just change your head gaskets. Easy! I changed the head gaskets about a month ago and have put about 500 miles on it since and the three amigos have not returned, the check engine light has also not returned. The lights have been intermittent for the past few years, They would just come on while the truck was running usually while moving accompanied by three bongs, sometimes turning off the truck and turning it back on would clear them other times it wouldn't. When the lights were on the ABS and TC genuinely did not work as I found out in the snow, but when they were off both functions worked. The check engine light I had read several times and it always said vapor leak and the guy at auto zone would say "it’s your gas cap." The cap passed the emissions test but I bought a new one anyway but the light still came on periodically. I don't know what I could have done during the head gasket swap that would have cleared both lights, my current theories are either the fact that I having the battery disconnected for 10 days reset something electrically or magic. If this keeps up I am hoping having the heat shield on the cat re-welded will magically make the rear sunroof open again or replacing the blown speaker will make the right rear lock actuator unlock on the first button push. Just curious if anyone can offer an explanation as to how this happened, I am certainly not complaining just curious. Also it is very strange to not have four bright yellow lights on the dash anymore.

I bought the full gasket kit from Atlantic British and replaced most of the gaskets that came in the kit, had the heads machined, replaced the thermostat, the HT leads, spark plugs and the oil in the process.

Well just drive it thru a car wash and your dash will light up like a Christmas tree.

Could be the purge control valve.

Close, but you make the rear sunroof open by adding a can of freon to the A/C. and you can get the rear window defrost to work by changing the PS pump.
