This morning we are having a small hiccup (hopefully) in customs.

I called DHL customer service and they will give me a call back within 2 hours. Here to hoping it gets through smoothly soon!

Looks like it made it through customs and is now in Los Angeles. Hopefully it will make it up to the Bay Area today or tomorrow

I was not charged anything additional from DHL. I am not sure if Turner charged me an import duty when I paid for the engine. I did pay a shipping fee so it may have been all wrapped up into one charge.

I was contacted by the State of Maryland a few months after I ordered my Turner. I assume they check customs logs. I owed the State 6% sales tax. That sucked.

Yep. They said that technically anything bought for a MD resident should have sales tax paid. You really can't argue with the tax man!

Well hopefully I don't owe more monies!

Exciting news, the engine has been delivered and being installed as we speak. Picked up some fluids for her and dropping them off at the shop tomorrow. It may be ready as soon as this weekend.

I didn’t know the 15w-40 came in Synthetic. You should be using a break in additive as well, first oil change at 500 miles if memory serves. U could save a little and use T4 for that one.
