Please don't be hatin', but I have never- wait; knocking on wood, overheated. I got my '00 D2 in'12, and it looked like it had new heads so, maybe it did at some point, but I flushed out the Dexcool, installed a 180* thermostat, water pump, and all good ever since..

 

Well I replaced the motor, lets see if that solves the overheating issue
