100+ psi is okay... 120-145psi is great. Less than 100 is either done wrong or the cyl is trash. Less than 100 is either worn rings or leaking valves.

Disco Mike, I did another compression test on #8 with about 4 revolutions and get 140psi.

RatisJ100,

To do a compression test you will need a compression gauge screw it into the cylinder that is in question, then unplug the inhibitor switch located passenger side firewall (this will cut off gas so you can turn ignition without starting) then turn the key till the cylinder builds up compression.

For inhibitor switch do you mean Inertia Switch for fuel cut-off? In RAVE I could not find any inhibitor switch connected to fuel system. Only inhibitor switch I found was connected to transmission.

Yes, the inertia switch. Or pull relay #1 in underhood box, the fuel pump relay, or fuse 10 in same to disable the pump.

I'm trying not to jinx myself but I did seafoam in the oil, gas and vacuum lines and so far so good.

Yes I meant Inertia switch!
