I have a p0463 code showing up on my 03' Discovery (Fuel level sender high circuit) The code came up at the same time that the fuel gauge stopped working. It reads that the tank is empty when in fact it's got plenty of gas. I've tried to get it smogged and it will not pass because they say the system is showing up as "not ready" and the reason is because the P0463 code has something to do with the evaporative system. I removed the fuel pump/fuel sender from the tank and couldn't find any issues. Any thoughts?

no signs of corrosion/bad ground at those harness connections?

 

No corrosion at all. Everything looked new. Any other ideas?

 

I could really use some help on this. Has no one else ever had a P0463 error code? I highly doubt that there is a short anywhere. The smog guy said that the fuel sender is tied into the emissions system and won't allow the reading on the cats to take place. I had changed the O2 sensors a few months ago, is there any chance that the computer is doing something weird? I'd really like to troubleshoot this.
