Default p1415, p1412

Hey guys, back again.

As a side note my recent 02 sensor issue was solved by crawling under the car and finding that when my mechanic installed my crank sensor, he accidently pulled the leads from the 02 sensor connection. Problem solved.

Now I have these codes. I did some research on the site that lead me to check the resivour on from the secondary air solenoid. Turns out the vacuum line was off. Could this be the issue?

Prior to the chk engine light coming on my wife said when she started it she heard a high pitched whine that lasted a couple seconds. Could the secondary air pump be starting to fail as well?

you got it. the whistle was probably just the air being sucked in by the tube, dont worry about it until it becomes a problem, however, make sure that the vac line to the res is tight, if not, replace the rubber cap with a small rubber tube

Thanks- for anyone's future reference tracing the vacuum lines seems to have solved the problem. No more chk engine light and no more whistling.
