I am using ultragauge to clear codes. I get the code every time i start it. I pin jumped the relay and the fan works great. Swapped relays as well. So everything should work. However I have yet to meet the conditions for the electric cooling fan to switch on since the repair. It is 50 degrees F here so the engine doesn't reach 212 degrees, nor do i meet the other conditions. Could it be a permanent code stored from the last time the old seized fan triggered and didnt work? that can only be overwritten if the fan is triggered again and works? It would make sense the fan needs to be triggered to run diagnostics. If i find a way to meet the requirements I will update if the code stays.
