Default Is this paint scheme factory?

I saw this on a 2000. The lower half is black. Was this a factory special thing or did somebody get creative?

Someone got creative, I'm almost positive.

Creative, LR never did any paint jobs like that. Yellow, Orange sure, but that nah.

LR did a metallic pale gold color but never a black lower half so the black is an addition. Not sure whether the gold was for the NAS market or just europe. It's called Maya Gold.

Looks like someone stopped a little short judging by the overspray just above the rear bumper

I think that's a White Gold paint job since it's an earlier D2. Maya Gold was an 03-04 thing and they were true gold looking.

They likely used bedliner paint for that.

When I did my sliders, I thought seriously hard about doing this exact same thing to my white '02. Tape along that body strip and use a roller to apply.

Would be simple enough to do

I earned a few nics in the film. It did the job as there doesn’t appear to be any damage to the paint but the film has a tear or two. Has anyone tried to have sections of the wrap replaced by their dealer?
