Default Part # help

So while taking out the shifter assembly for the transmission my friend accidentally lost the little plastic piece that goes on the end of the shift cable that attaches to the shifter assembly... if anyone knows the part number or happens to have one or knows where I can purchase one please let me know...

Thank you.

Hi Xrad... the piece I am referring to goes on the end of the shift cable which then goes into the slot on the side of the shifter... worst case scenario is I have to buy a used shifter assembly with the cable.

Yea that would be the one... been looking on ebay but the part price I found for $35 dollars had the global shipping program which if you aren't aware of charges you double on the shipping and then tacks on a nice brokerage fee ontop of the charges you have already paid. So that $35 dollar shifter now costs over $100

Do you have the retaining crown? You could get a nylon or brass bushing at local hardware store and with a little effort trim it up to do the same job.....

Hey Xrad... yes I do have the retaining crown... and I am on the same page as far as your suggestion.... I was thinking of just grabbing a piece of round plastic dowel and drilling it out to fit the end ball on the cable. Then trim to length for fitment inside the shifter assembly...
