Ah, thanks for keeping me on task JUKE71. Well, the rebuilt ECU did solve a lot of the problems. Then we found a few wires that needed attention on the very back of the engine - burnt, shorted, etc. So, that helped too. It seems we (myself and my mechanic friend) are undoing years and years of non-maintenance. I mean, this poor truck had almost nothing ever done to it. Right now, it has a mis-aligned gear selector, but that is a pretty easy fix and it is shorting the #2 fuse, so we have to track that down. I did install a new rear steel bumper from Atlantic British on it a few days ago.

We are making progress and once we sort out the shifter and blown fuse issue, we should be on the downhill side of things.

Thanks for asking. I am sure I will be coming back to this well of knowledge with additional questions.

@bjordan Keep with it, there is an upside you will know the truck pretty well when you are done

Thanks for the follow up. I am also still trying to hunt down possible causes why my engine bay F2 fuse keeps blowing.
My local Land Rover garage has had it for 2 weeks And they can’t find the source of the dead short. It doesn’t help that they’ve never worked on an SAI system before until mine came in for electrical problems
