Passenger Window Problems
I’ve just replaced the window winder mechanism in the passenger door of my D2 - the fourth time in five years!
Usual problem, the nylon rollers had disintegrated.
The window is still slow to move up and down, like the motor is struggling to move the mechanism and I’m guessing there’s something wrong with the window tracks in the frame which is causing stress in the mechanism leading to repeated early failures.
Has anyone else had the same problem? Anybody found a fix?
Cheers!

Try starting with silicone spray lubricant -- find it at any auto parts store. It's minimally invasive, lasts a decent amount of time, and will at least confirm that lubricated tracks help the situation.
Well we found your problem. You need to use heavy axle bearing grease inside all the tracks that the rollers roll in. They came from the factory with a small amount of grease but over time it gets spread out and that is why the rollers break. If you put lots of axle bearing grease in there you will never have another wheel failure. Do all the doors when you get the truck and you will never have a problem.
