Sticky at the top of the forums, eliminates oil leaks.

Yes with my PCV Upgrade you take care of 2 weak links. #1 the brittle plastic nipple at the intake & #2 you remove the plastic baffle which is usually 100% clogged and causing excessive crankcase pressure to build up and cause your V8 to weep Oil from every gasket possible. The PCV goes in place of the brittle plastic nipple on the intake, and you just remove the baffle as it's no longer needed since you installing a true PCV vs a plastic baffle which NEVER did anything but clog up. The tube in the valve cover pictured above = 03-04 as they closed it off making it even easier to forget to about it. 99-02 was the same open tube design like D1's.

It sounds like a massive job, but it's a 10-15min job tops. To get the tube to fully seat back in place I use a 13mm socket with an extension and just tap it back into place. It will change sounds when it bottoms out and is fully seated.

I installed one on a friends 04 D2 before they drove up to Canada, and it was 110% clogged. I guarantee that engine and all it's seals are MUCH MUCH happier now.

This is a must on all Rover V8's.
