Default Pedal mod?

I've had my disco for about two months now and so far I really enjoy the truck. I do have a couple gripes about its ergonomics though. The pedal position on the disco is rather central in the footwell which means my leg is pressed against the steering wheel when using the pedals. Also the brake and accelerator are positioned so close together that my foot has inadvertently pressed both pedals a few times. It seems the seat cannot be lowered enough to help mitigate this problem either. I took a look at the pedals and the arms seem to be made of steel...has anyone reshaped the arms so the pedals favor the right side of the footwell? Or does anyone have any ideas that might help alleviate this? Thanks!

Worst case, remove rubber cover, cut off right side of brake pedal. Drill, tap and bolt aftermarket aluminum pedal over stock, offset the new pedal to the left.
That's the only way to gain clearance between the pedals.
I put an aluminum brake pedal on all my vehicles.
Not a fast n furious one that's more slick than the stock rubber cover, but one with some grip.
My foot is always slipping on the stock brake pedal when it's wet. I have placed new pedals slightly left to gain clearnce between the pedals too, works fine.
I've never had to cut or trim a brake pedal any either, but it's doable.
My size 11 shoe isn't that big.

Hmm I'll have to do some thinking - thanks for the input. I'm not opposed to bolting on new pedals if it gets my leg out from underneath the steering wheel.

Good idea mate! I wear steel toe work boots and I'm constantly tapping the gas and brake pedals at the same time.

Doesn't matter when your right foot hangs both pedals.

Are you a racing driver or someone who drives heavy tracked equipment? They're the only people I know who typically do this.
