Default Pic uploads, geek help needed.

Ok so I have no problem uploading pics into a post but every time I try to upload my user profile image it gives me an error msg. "file up load failed". I made it as small as possible and tried an alternate pic but always get the same error msg.

make sure you save the pic as a jpeg in photoshop or another photo program. pull up pic in editing program and go to file, then to save as, then when the window pops up, scroll down under types to jpeg. this should fix your problem. if its already a jpeg, you may have a firewall up or something of that nature.

Have you read and are you staying within the galleries size limits, if so what size are you using?
Are you using a Mac or PC and where are you transfering your picture from on your computer.
