Default Picking up my D2 today

Super excited () to be going and picking up my first LR Discovery today! It's a 2001 D2 LE with about 160k miles. It ran smooth when I test drove it and there are no major leaks. There is a small oil leak around the valve cover but it is not dripping down to the floor. The previous owner has had it for 2 years and has replaced the brakes and master cylinder and the crankshaft position sensor. He made no mention of the cylinder head gasket being replaced.

Having 160k miles I assume it's either already been done in the past or bound to need it very soon. So my question is how can I check and see if it may have been done, or is it a just drive it 'til it breaks thing? How much should I worry about that oil leak around the valve cover?

congrats
maybe a drive it till thing, unless it was recent enough that you can see the cosmetic differences between the shiny head and dull block or if they used studs to replace the head bolts....you should be able to see the bottom ones (right above exhaust manifold)

there should be 4 visible head bolts on each side, see if they have been marked in any way a marker, paint, pencil.
