Ive been curious for awhile what this black plastic round cap or grommet ( whatever it is called) in the middle of my roof towards back on my 03 D2 ? is that a covered antenna hole? Im considering a place for a removable HF antenna and have always been curious about that spot...it would be perfect...9 dont have sunroofs .

 

That's the spot for the factory sat nav receiver. You can get the plug out by pulling the headliner down a bit, then you can remove the nut that holds the plug. The hole is about 1/2" square.

 

thanks! i figured it was something like that.. perfect for an HF mount with a screw on antenna when needed...i cant add my dual band ham antenna there because of the rack... id forget and snap it with boxes lol
