Please help,

I was in Park at idle & out of nowhere the heat cut off & a little bit of smoke came out from under the steering wheel.

Once I got home I opened the latch to the panel and noticed this jerry rigged setup with once side of the wire burnt. (Found the cause of smoke)

my question is, what would this orange wire be running to? & how should this be wired properly?

please help, currently don’t have heat in the vehicle.

The fuse box has a common problem of broken solder joints going to the blower fan. Looks like someone bypassed it. I used to repair the fuseboxes but kept having to do it over and over and finally bypassed mine too. Just repair the burnt/blown stuff and go back to it.
