i need to fill my tranny after replacing filter and cant figure out how to or where to fill it alldata is of no help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

there is an allen plug on the front of the trans pan (towards engine). fill till fluid starts to come out, start truck and fill again till fluid just starts to pour over. soem say keep in neutral, some say park, i have seen no difference personally. but its always a good idea to just run it through the gears for a min or so while parked just to make sure you get out any air that may be there.

 

Fill the tranny until fluid comes out, start the truck. Once the truck is running shift between each gear every 5 seconds all the way from P to 1, and back to P. Get back under and fill until a 2mm bead pours from the fill plug. Re-fit the fill plug and check the level the next day.
