Default Quick help...working on it now...torx for tranny filter?

Does anyone know what size Torx those three bolts holding the transmission filter in place are? I thought they were T-25, but I'm really close on stripping one of them right now.

Thanks!!

Is the T-25 too big or too small? Will a T-27 fit in the bolt better? That's the next size up.

Well, the T-25 seemed right at first, but a little torque proved it wasn't. The T-30 is too big, so it must be the T-27 (of course a size I don't have in my arsenal.) As soon as my other wheels get home from work I'm going to pick one up...

Will let you know.

Thanks!

Just so you know, and I realize it is too late, but you didn't need to change the tranny filter at the 60K, usually wait till the 120K per the manual.
Best thing you could do is do another drain and refill in a week or so to get rid of some more of the old fluid that didn't drain out the first time, end result will be a much cleaner oil and happier tranny.

Great, thanks for the tip Mike. I know I didn't need to change the filter, but I have no way of knowing for sure if it was done at 30K or not. I guess it was because it would have been a warranty covered service, but one never knows!

Thanks!
