Default Plug Wires

I know this has been covered in other places, but I just wanted to get some second opinions from you folks. I just recently bought a 2001 Disco II with 98k miles on it. I'm looking to flip it, and I am getting a bit antsy waiting for parts from usautoparts.net that the mechanic that checked it out for me said I would need. I just recently was able to dig a bit deeper, and the plugs and wires definitely need replacing. However, I'm hesitant to wait the two weeks for shipping it took for my last site, and none of the wires on Amazon I found were "Land Rover Forums" approved. Will off-brand wires, (i.e. not Magnacore, Kingsbourne, STI) work well enough until the plugs should be replaced anyways? I would feel bad selling it if I knew the owner would have to replace the plug wires right away. Thank you!

Get the right wires and wait the few extra days. Karma always comes around

I've used cheap Spark Plug wires before, and yes they'll work. The question is for how long?? I prefer STI, NGK, Kingsborne, and Magnacore.

I've got the blue STI's but might go for the red Magnacores next.

Many things in the Land Rover book are flat out wrong. This includes, among other things, the plugs and wires. They want you to use cheap Champion (and I mean cheap) spark plugs and the original drab wires. I had problems with those and switched to blue magnacores with Bosch Platinum Spark plugs. I changed them out in 2012-2013 (when I didn't even need to) and have had zero misfires or plug/wire related issues ever since.

Using expensive quality parts will generally pay for itself many times over.

D2's rolled off the line with Platinum Spark Plugs, earlier LR's used Champion Copper Core Spark Plugs.
