Silicone spray and a big C clamp can usually get it done, but, sometimes you must have a press.
I'm just talking about control arms too, as sway bar and end link bushings are usually not a problem.
thanks for the input, looks like a gotta do some more research...

I know a guy who did all polyflex in a disco 1. Was really hard to press/massage in. had to grind down most of the bushes to fit in the radius arms and drag links. He says was worth it.

its a tough call because they last so much longer. My watts link is out too and considering swapping for polys. Idk. What would be a substitute if not polys?

A press is pretty much required for radius arm bushings... OEM or poly. There are some 2-piece poly bushings that don't need a press, but you have to watch out for the chassis end, as a lot of the brands require a press on that one. (not a fan of 2-piece poly).

I fitted Terrafirma poly bushings a couple weeks ago, to replace the britpart 2 piece poly's. So far so good. OEM bushings won't fit the castor corrected TF arms anyway, so it's gonna be poly, or poly (for me).

If you don't have a press, you can probably pay a local mechanic like 80 bucks to install them. Or, get a 20 ton harbor freight press for around $140 like I did. It sits next to the fridge in my kitchen

Haha im thinking I’m gonna get a press too. Taking bushings to a shop just for two diff occassions will rack up a bill that merits the purchase. And I’m thinking I’m in for a lot of bushing replacments, they’re looking pretty squashed down there! I’ll look into TF
