Default possible intake leak

Acouple weeks ago i had a problem with my head gasket, it was leaking,I fixed that and now the car over heated and actually shut off because i was not payingany attentionto the temp. I pushedit home (only like 3 blocks), checked the fluids and sure enough there is milking white all over the dip stick. Now i know what most are going to say, "well you didn't fix it right ya dummy", but I did. My question is if the intake has a leak in it is it possible for the coolent to some how get into the valley? i took all the plugs out and i have no coolent on the plugs. i have a pressure tester on the way to the house right now, but i would bet the title of the car that the compression is OK. it has to be the intake i just cant think of anything else. I already have a new engine sitting next to the car i just wanted to see if i could fix the old one (call me crazy).

some of you guys might appreciate this little tid bit. The car ran in the redline untill in shut off the motor. The sleeve is fine........I guess they are more bullet proof than i thought.

You may have also dropped a sleeve.

If the engine got so hot it shut down, I'll bet next week lunch money you dropped a sleeve.

If you have coolant in the oil, there is only one way for it to happen that I know of. There has to be a coolant exchange between the water jacket and the oilpassages of the block. Did you replace both head gaskets?

Not saying you are a dummy, but the only way coolant can get in the oil is a head gasket unless you have a messed up block, or if you are mixing in the rad. The oil cooler passes through the rad on my D1. If it was the intake, it would be going into the cylinder and blowing by. You may have leaked enough out for it to get hot, sucking a gasket or warping a head, then allowing the remaining coolant to blow into the oil.

I will say that if you ran it in the red long enough for it to shut down the engine and you didn't drop a sleeve, you are the luckiest person in the world.

Run a pressure test on the coolant system to see where it it coming out. In addition to the previous questions- did you have your heads re-faced and did you check your block surfaces? What year and mileage? A compression test will not tell you where you are leaking coolant into the oil. The oil and coolant jackets have such a small clearance between each other, a bad gasket install or incorrect tolerances will make it blow right back out.

let me give you guys the full answer. some part of the cooling system failed, the engine over heated and put a crack in the block. Unless when i purchased the truck it already had a cracked block.
