Default Power Steering / Check Engine

Was low, lots of noise, griding when turning, and even while idle. Added ATF Dexron as told by Spike a bit ago. Next day, check engine light on. Possibly related? Should i get it in right away?

They are not related. you could run with the power steering pump compleatly dry and the check engine light wouldnt come on. The pump would be fried, but the light woudnt come on.
Once you topped up the power steering did the noise go away?

Is your noise back? Have you gone and had your codes checked at a local auto parts store yet, if so what were the codes?
