Power steering Fluid

Ok so whats the skinny on the ACE fluid? I have read and been told that it should be used and i have read and been told I can use a quality synthetic...

what are your thoughts my fellow rovers...

quality synthetic

I use synthetic and I add Lucas Power Steering Stop leak. Runs like a champ.

I would use Valvoline Maxlife power steering fluid.

Hey,
I just replaced mine - used ATE CHF 11S that I got from NAPA for $22 and Lucas stop leak - second time I've changed my fluid; Forrest has 88k miles and no power steering problems.

Valvoline Max Life PAS fluid - has stop leak in already. I have no leaks and PAS works, that's good right?

Thanks everyone.... That is what I did as well but thought I would just check...the ACE fluid is so crazy expensive .

I use the Pentosin CHF 11S pretty common usage in the VW/Audi scene just make sure you never use the CHF 8 or 9 as they are derived from mineral oils and will eat up seals in a system not designed for it.
