Default Power Steering Gear Box Seal leak...

Mechanic confirms I've got a slow leak coming from the seals of the power steering gear box of my 2002 Disco II. Short of replacing it, anyone have a more economical solution? The Lucas Power steering additive sounded good, but, it seems some have had bad experiences with it. Anyone try sealing it with high temp silicone?
THanks in advance

You could reseal it: QFW100140

Land Rover parts, spares, Land Rover accessories - Search results for QFW100140

I'd put the stop leak in it personally.

Lucas is for internal leaks. Go on line to, Gouniversalproducts.com and order a bottle of their P/S stop leak. I have used it and recommended it to many with only a few that did have good results. It is worth the $20 to give it a try before the expense of a rebuild.
