Power Steering Leak

I tried to replace the seals in my steering gearbox and bent the pittman arm puller. The arm would not come off even with an air impact. So when I get the funds I will replace the gearbox. I also had the high pressure line from the pump to the gearbox fail a couple of weeks ago and the fluid would squirt out of the seams on the hose. It only squirted out when the wheel was turned making the pressure in the line increase. You can replace all of the hoses from AB for $120.

The bottle of Lucas, says that it may take 1 or two bottles. After I put the second bottle in I let it sit for a few days. Yesterday I topped it off with PS fluid, and drove about 10 miles. When I got to my destination I popped the hood, and the reservoir was completely full, no leaks. I can’t say with certainty that it worked, but so far so good.
