Default Power steering leaking bad..

I just got done putting in a new PAS pump, which seems to be working great. Only problem now is that i must have a leak in the low pressure side of the system. The reason that i say this is because the disco sat for about a week, when i looked at the PAS fluid level it was 100% empty. I then checked the hose at the bottom of the PAS pump and made sure that it was all the way on and tight, which it was. So i guess what i am asking is that if my thinking is correct, in that it must be a leak on the low pressure side because all the fluid drained out without the motor being even turned over much less running. I think that my next step is going to be to replace the hose from the PAS/ACE tank to the pump and see if that stops my problem.

sounds like you are on the right track. Hose it off and look for leaks. You may want to cut off the factory clamps and put worm type hose clamps, if you don't already have them.

I recently replaced all of my power steering hoses. I switched to the worm type clamps. This fixed my leaks from the the reservoir. Alas, I also have major leakage from my power steering gear box. I will be replacing it as soon as possible. Good luck with your leaks.

Atlantic British ( www.atlanticbrittish.com ) sells a p/s hose kit. you will get 3 of the 4 hoses, all but the HP hose from the pump to the box.

Well like i have said in many posts before this and i am sure i will say it in the future, I'm dumb. When i pulled the pump i noticed that one of the four bolts that holds the two pieces of the pump together was loose, so then i checked the rest. Turns out that all four of them were not even finger tight, i am surprised that it was not leaking way more. needless to say some gasket sealer on both sides, some blue thread lock on the four bolts, some America in a can(Budwiser), and it was all put back together and not leaking. I am kicking myself now that i did not go over the pump before i put it in, i always do except the one time where it would have mattered. But my disco has never turned so easily and there is no pump sound, so it ended well i guess.
